About the role
Northeast Restorative Therapy Services is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver skilled physical therapy interventions under the direction of a supervising Physical Therapist in a skilled nursing and sub-acute rehabilitation setting at our partner facility in Riverhead, NY. You will play a hands-on role in helping residents rebuild strength, mobility, and independence.
This is a per diem position offering a premium hourly rate and the flexibility to pick up shifts as your schedule allows.
What you'll do
- Carry out the physical therapy plan of care established by the supervising PT
- Provide therapeutic exercise, gait and transfer training, and functional mobility interventions
- Monitor and document resident response to treatment and communicate changes to the supervising PT
- Complete daily treatment documentation in PointClickCare / NetHealth
- Set up and maintain a safe, clean treatment environment
- Reinforce home programs and caregiver education
What we're looking for
- Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Active New York State PTA license, or license/limited permit pending
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- SNF or sub-acute experience preferred; new graduates welcome
